Hillview Community Church in Cults approached Laings to update their bathroom facilities to suit the varying requirements of their lively, contemporary church and its diverse congregation.
The clients brief included improved storage facilities and lighting, making the space brighter and incorporating easily maintainable sanitary-ware. Our bathroom designer and surveyor Colin used his expertise to provide a comprehensive proposal for a complete refresh of the ladies, gents and accessible facilities; Including fitting new radiators, cubicles, re-painting and enhancing facilities to accommodate baby changing, and other additional needs.
As the design came to fruition, the customers attended the showroom to select finishes from our extensive range of displays. Feature Ca’Pietra tiling was chosen for the floor, white ceramic tiling for the walls and Sea Green cubicles to co-ordinate with the Durham Oak elements of the design. Brushed Brass Mirrors were picked as a final touch, to accent the room.
Colin delivered a strong solution in the design and fitments for this client with floor-mounted toilets and urinals, wall-mounted basins, touch-free urinal sensors and Hansgrohe taps - for optimum cleanliness and easy maintenance. The project presented exciting opportunities to provide a design that accommodated a wide range of clientele, but modernised and made a stand-out feature of the facilities.
Through-out the project, Colin has developed a great working relationship with Hillview Community Church. With his experienced background - he was happy to explain how the selected fixtures and fittings would be installed into the space, to help answer any queries: “it’s fantastic to be able to design and install unique features like the full height formed bulkhead and recess in the gent’s facilities.”
