At Laings, we’re committed to keeping ahead of design trends - and that means exploring the very best in global interiors. Last month, our team travelled to Bologna in Italy to attend Cersaie, the leading international ceramic tiling and bathroom design tile exhibition, where we uncovered the textures, tones and styles shaping today’s interiors.
The event was alive with creativity, showcasing everything from timeless classics to bold new statements. A clear theme across the exhibition was a shift towards muted, natural palettes - soft beige, sand and earthy tones that bring warmth and subtle elegance to interiors. These understated hues are perfect for creating a calm, grounded aesthetic that feels both modern and timeless.
Balancing this natural look was a striking countertrend: dramatic marbles with bold prints and rich Italian influence. These statement surfaces bring energy and personality to any space, offering a standout focal point in both bathrooms and living areas.
Texture also played a starring role, with softly sculpted surfaces and subtle ribbing adding depth and dimension - a reminder that tactility remains central to how we experience space.
Whether it was muted shades or dramatic marbles, the exhibition gave us plenty of fresh ideas - and we’re looking forward to bringing them into our designs at Laings.
