Founded in 1995 by architect Seppo Koho and entrepreneur Tuula Jusélius, Secto Design was created with a clear vision: to craft wooden lighting that perfectly complements the clean, minimalist aesthetic of Scandinavian interiors.
From its base in Heinola, Finland, this family-owned company remains deeply rooted in traditional craftsmanship. Each Secto lamp is handmade by master cabinetmakers, using PEFC-certified Finnish birch, and produced entirely in the company’s own workshop to ensure exceptional quality.
The debut of the Secto 4200 pendant in 1999 marked the beginning of an iconic collection that has since grown to include 29 models, spanning pendant, floor, table, wall, and ceiling lamps. Designed exclusively by Seppo Koho, these pieces share a timeless visual language defined by clean lines and understated Scandinavian elegance.
Renowned for their warm, gentle glow and refined natural form, Secto lamps combine modern LED technology with sustainable materials, making them ideal for both private homes and public spaces worldwide. Today, Secto lighting is exported to over 80 countries.
With sustainability at the heart of its philosophy, Secto prioritises local sourcing, minimal waste, and eco-conscious production, even repurposing wood offcuts for energy. Each lamp bears a unique hologram sticker—a hallmark of authenticity and quality that distinguishes genuine Secto designs from imitations.
